“What is the leather accessory piece that covers the crotch – the guy from Cameo wore one. What are those called?”
The red leather piece worn by lead singer Larry Blackmon from the 1980′s music group Cameo is called a codpiece. The codpiece is very similar to a cup worn in football or other sports.
The character Alex in the movie ‘A Clockwork Orange’ wore a codpiece. I know all of you remember Batman and Darth Vader sporting the look as well. Sex shops usually sell a type of codpiece that is black and made of leather. You may also find replicas of the original codpieces worn during the middle ages online.
Personally I think you men need to bring back the codpiece. Add it to your daily wardrobe. Throw a nice black leather studded codpiece over you wrinkle free khakis and head off to work. The women and men for that matter will never look away. The crowds on the streets will all stare at your wonderfully wrapped package. Women and men will be dying to know what is under that codpiece.
