You know, the issues surrounding disability/ability and sexuality are important to discuss, yet you never see it around. It really is something that should be discussed more often and in more depth. Because then we might actually be able to move past alot of the stereotypes that exist in our culture. It would make things quite a bit easier for everyone in the disabled community, that's for sure!

I say these things as a 30-something disabled guy. To be specific, I'm a quadriplegic, meaning that I have a spinal cord injury caused by an accident that damaged it. I've been injured for about 14 years now, and was fortunate enough to have been able to have sex before and after the injury occurred.

Now one misconception that many people have about people with disabilities is that they just plain can't have sex. That's complete bull shit, and I'm glad you pointed this out in your article above! That was extremely refreshing. Like in my case, I don't have complete feeling in most of my body... pretty much starts to go at about my mid section, right above my belly. However, Viagra and other drugs like it do work, making up for the fact that my body doesn't react in the same manner it would in a person with a well functioning spinal cord. That's life, but I've made it work because not only do I deserve to enjoy some sort of sexual contact, it's still worth the effort to do in order to satisfy mine and my partner's urges and needs for physical expression.

Basically it all comes down to getting over stereotypes and cultural taboos. And getting over yourself. That's the hardest part, getting over your own view of "I'm disabled so I'm broken and no one will want me". It's a hard thing to get over, but unless you do, you will never get anywhere.

Anyway, these are just a few of my thoughts on the subject. I should probably do my own blog post on it, but I can never find real life CFNM videos and pictures depicting disabled people! That's the hardest stuff to find of all!

Kudos for providing some insight and information for those looking to learn more about the complex world of sexuality and disability.
