What is a Dental Dam?

Hi Kim,

You asked me what a dental dam is and how it works.  Many of you i’m sure remember the scene from the movie Booty Call with Jamie Foxx.  Just makes me giggle every time I think of saran wrap and dental dam.  So I added the clip of that scene at the bottom of this post.

Dental Dam is a flat square piece of latex that is used for oral sex.  The Dental Dam can be used for oral sex on the pussy or for oral anal sex aka rimming.  If you are out there having fun oral sex times with strangers then Dental Dam use may actually be a great way to protect yourself from getting some very unwanted STD’s and MTD’s.  I threw the acronym MTD’s in there because it’s what I like to call Mouth Transmitted Dirtiness.  Folks don’t forget that you can get all the same viruses HPV, HIV, HSV, and so on from oral sex too.

Since the Dental Dams come with a funky powdery layer on them you can wipe or wash that off. I personally don’t suggest licking it off because it can be somewhat narley.  As a little tidbit of info you can buy flavored Dental Dams.  Most people suggest using a lube on your partner then putting the dental damn over the lubed area and begin licking and tongue fucking away.  I personally don’t think you always need the lube if your girl is producing enough pussy juice the lube will be overkill.

So lets pretend you don’t have any Dental Damn because you failed to prepare.  Don’t fret Naughty Nikki’s  here to help you through this moment.  Yes, you could run for the saran wrap but sadly you will need to have non-microwavable saran wrap on hand.  I’m not sure about you but all my saran wrap is so I can microwave something later.  The reason it needs to be non-microwavable is because regular saran wraps pores are so huge that all those damn viruses and gross bacteria go right through.  Maybe you only have a male condom on hand for this special moment.  Grab some scissors and cut down the side. Voila you have Dental Dam.  As always with store bought Dental Dam or homemade Dental Dam look to make sure there are no holes besides the ones you are putting your tongue on.
